Meet The Team

We are a dedicated team which strives to provide success to our clients in regards to all their accountancy needs. Our team is very close-knit and ensures that a unified support is provided to you whenever you need it. With expertise covering all aspects of accountancy, taxation and business advisory services, we are well placed to take a holistic view to planning for the future as well dealing with specific matters.

 

Martin F M Eynaud, FCCA, MCMI – Managing Director

Martin is the Managing Director and co-principle of Melwoods Chartered Certified Accountants. He is a Fellow of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and also a member of the Chartered Institute of Management. Martin has a wide range of experience in the commercial and general practice field, both in the UK and Europe. Prior to developing Melwoods practice, he sat on several company boards specialising in the IT sector market in the UK and Europe where he still has a strong involvement.

Martin is a professional tax specialist with international and UK experience in the contractor service industry. He also heads up the Taxation department of the practice and is responsible for all practice affairs. In addition to offering his wealth of experience to the service industry on a non executive basis, he focuses his efforts on clients maximizing their income, business development and general accountancy and taxation matters. Martin is married to Serena and enjoys family time and sports.

Chris Cullen MAAT – Director – Practice

Chris is a qualified accounting technician and full member of the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) as well as a student member of the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). He started working for Melwoods in February 2006, to support some of our largest clients, having moved from a sales and project implementation background. Chris heads up practice operations and outsourcing accounts division. Chris is also responsible for several large external accounts, client bookkeeping, preparation of statutory accounts and assists in personal tax returns, payroll and P11d’s.

Outside of work Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children and also enjoys going to the gym, reading and watching movies. Chris is also a long suffering supporter of Nottingham Forest…

Bonita D’Lima MA (Cantab) – Payroll Manager & Senior Administrator

Bonita joined Melwoods in 2008 with a degree in Natural Sciences. In her role as an administrator she supports staff in all areas of the practice with respect to company secretarial and compliance work, liaising with HMRC and Companies House. Bonita specialises in PAYE and now heads up our payroll division, with a range of experience in all matters encompassing RTI, CIS and auto enrolment. She also assists with the in-house bookkeeping and client VAT returns.

Lisa Micallef-Eynaud BSc (Hons) – New client services, administration support and bookkeeping services

Lisa has worked for Melwoods since 2011 and specialises in client bookkeeping and payroll services. She is conscientious, meticulous and likes to deliver a personal client centred approach believing these attributes to be important in delivering an effective high quality service.

Outside of work she is passionate about sport and fitness, dance and pilates, French bulldogs and Spain.

Alice Cullen (BA Hons) – Administrator

Alice joined us in 2012 to assist with the general administration within the office. Since then she has taken on client administration and upkeep. This includes the filing of confirmation statements, new client engagement information and governmental body registrations.

Always eager to help, Alice is more often the first point of contact when calling the office.

Caroline Fenwick Dip HE – Client book-keeping and VAT services

Caroline finished university in 2001 and joined Melwoods in 2007 on a part time basis. She manages a caseload of clients and completes their bookkeeping for VAT and year end work.

When not at Melwoods Caroline works for the NHS as a qualified nurse.

Serena M Eynaud BSc (Hons) – Company Secretary

Serena has a degree in health studies.  She is the company secretary to the practice, providing additional part time support to the company’s clients book-keeping services.  Serena is also a keen dancer and married to Martin. In addition to her work in the practice,  Serena still run her clinics whilst looking after grandchildren.
